My Cacti Together With Succulent Drawings - Inwards Coloured Pencils

This is my contribution to Florum 2014 - an exhibition celebrating found life which opens to the populace on Saturday.  My drawings inwards coloured pencils are:

• top left: Triangulation  - this was exhibited at the Society of Botanical Artists inwards 2011
• top right: Sansevaria Surprise - the mutual names for this found include many variations on 'tongue' e.g. mother-in-law's tongue, devil's tongue, jinn's tongue, snake natural language plus bow string hemp as well as ophidian plant.  It seems to me they were coined yesteryear people who had never seen the flowers!
• Middle left: Grey, light-green as well as pinkish inwards Yuma - inspired yesteryear a java halt on my 2006 route trip (see below)
• Middle right: Echevaria Laui - looks pale grayness but genuinely displays incredibly subtle colours
• Bottom left: Aloe Polyphylla - it has an amazing spiral pattern
• Bottom right: Tesselation #2 (Agave Victoriae) - a reworking of ane of my master copy drawings of this plant.
• Bottom middle: Aloe Karasbergensis - rattling stripy!

All works are for sale at the exhibition which is opened upward sixth - 13th September (10.00am - 5.00pm) at the Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve.  I'll endure stewarding on Lord's Day if anybody wants to come upward as well as see as well as see me! Incidentally afterward a walk to a greater extent than or less the reserve yesterday, I tin laissez passer on notice highly recommend it to anybody wanting to describe birdlife, wild fauna as well as wild flowers.  I shall endure returning to pass to a greater extent than fourth dimension there.

I've been drawing cacti as well as succulents for some time - e'er since a 2,000 mile route trip inwards 2006 from Santee inwards Southern California to Albuquerque, New United Mexican United States of America ( /search?q=

My preference is for a macro sentiment of the found which focuses on its structure.  Interestingly, when I concluding exhibited my drawings (at some other biological reserve - the Mission Trails Regional Park, in San Diego, California) the comment that was virtually oftentimes made yesteryear visitors was that people had never genuinely looked at cacti as well as succulents unopen upward earlier - but they would inwards future!  That's plenty for me to choke along drawing them every bit I do!
