The Outwin Boochever Portrait Competition is held every 3 years.  Its aim is to encourage artists to explore the fine art of portraiture.  The contest invites figurative artists to submit entries in all media to live considered for prizes in addition to display at the National Portrait Gallery.

Jurors

Jurors for the contest were drawn from both the National Portrait Gallery in addition to external independent persons involved inward art.  There is no interest whatsoever past times whatsoever sponsor which differentiates it from the BP Portrait Award - which to my hear is good. Fine for sponsors to sponsor but I'm non sure it entitles them to overstep judgement.
