My recent woks are based on traditional Korean roof tiles and purpose graphite - a textile reminiscent of their dark, crude oil ceramic. Such tiles are disappearing from speedily modernizing life in addition to architecture. My drawings disrupt the familiarity of their forms, bringing into enquiry what the viewer encounters equally surface, depth in addition to shape.
